Filmmaker / Director / Editor

CASSIE JIAXIN WANG

Cassie Jiaxin Wang is a high school filmmaker, director, and editor based in Orange County, California. Currently a senior at St. Margaret’s Episcopal School (Class of 2026), Cassie began studying filmmaking in 9th grade and has since developed a strong passion for storytelling as a means to connect people and inspire empathy.

Her first short films Dream has been recognized at multiple international youth film festivals, including the All American High School Film Festival (AMC Theaters, New York), the Los Angeles Film Awards, and the New York Film Awards. In 2025, she attended the USC School of Cinematic Arts Filmmaking Intensive, where she wrote and directed Remembrance, a deeply personal short film exploring memory and love.

Beyond filmmaking, Cassie is dedicated to community storytelling and advocacy. Through her involvement in student organizations that support anti-bullying and special education awareness, she uses her creative voice to highlight compassion, resilience, and the power of understanding.

Cassie hopes to continue creating films that bridge cultures and encourage empathy—one story at a time.

My Artistic Vision

"I believe that stories have the power to connect hearts. Through filmmaking and community projects, I aim to give voice to people who are often overlooked — children who learn differently, those who have experienced bullying, and students in remote areas who dream of going to school. Each project reminds me that empathy is not just about feeling for others, but about listening and helping people see the world through different eyes. I hope to continue creating films that foster compassion and awareness — one story at a time." —Cassie Jiaxin Wang
